At Vitality Pharmacy Warehouse, we’re proud to partner with the National Diabetes Services Scheme (NDSS) to provide eligible Australians with the essential tools they need to manage their condition effectively, conveniently and affordably.
Here’s how we support NDSS users across our pharmacy locations in Calliope, Cooktown & Cairns (Orchid Plaza).
What is the NDSS?
The National Diabetes Services Scheme is an initiative by the Australian Government aimed at reducing the impact of diabetes by improving access to information, education and subsidised products for people living with diabetes.
Once registered, eligible individuals can access subsidised diabetes products through NDSS Access Points. Vitality Pharmacy Warehouse is proud to be one of these Access Points for our local communities.
What can NDSS users access at Vitality?
If you’re registered with the NDSS, you can access a wide range of subsidised diabetes supplies at any of our Vitality locations. These include:
- Blood glucose test strips
- Urine test strips
- Insulin pen needles
- Syringes
- Insulin pump consumables
- Continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) and flash glucose monitoring (FGM) products (for eligible users)
We maintain strong stock levels across our pharmacies to ensure quick and easy access to the products you rely on every day.

If you’ve recently been diagnosed or haven’t yet registered with the NDSS, our pharmacy team can help guide you through the registration process. Registration is free for Australian residents with a confirmed diabetes diagnosis from a medical professional. Once you’re registered, you’ll receive an NDSS card and can begin accessing subsidised supplies from any Vitality Pharmacy Warehouse location in North Queensland.
