COVID-19 and Flu Vaccinations
The flu is a highly contagious viral infection. While it may be mild for some individuals, it can lead to severe illness, hospitalisation, and even death in otherwise healthy individuals. It poses a particularly serious risk for babies, individuals over 65 years old, people with underlying medical conditions, and pregnant women.
Immunisation is a safe and effective method to help protect against the flu. By getting vaccinated, you not only safeguard yourself, but also protect those who are too ill or too young to receive immunisation, thereby slowing down the spread of the disease.
Receiving the flu vaccine every year is crucial. The virus strains causing the flu change annually, and the vaccine is adjusted accordingly to match these strains. At Alive Pharmacy Warehouse, starting from mid-March, we will be utilising the quadrivalent vaccine for our flu immunisation service.
Absence from Work Certificates
These certificates can be issued for personal leave (due to illness or injury) or carer’s leave (for illness or injury of a family member or household member).
The decision to issue such certificates is at the pharmacist’s discretion, and they can only be provided for conditions within their expertise, typically minor ailments. If the condition falls outside their scope, they will refer the individual to a doctor or appropriate healthcare professional.
Absence from Work Certificates cannot be backdated, and identification may be required. Consultations for these certificates are conducted in-store

Blood Pressure Monitoring
A convenient method to monitor blood pressure is through our in-pharmacy monitoring and record-keeping. The frequency of monitoring depends on personal circumstances. Regular visits allow for convenient blood pressure checks, enabling early detection of high blood pressure and appropriate referral to a GP if needed.
